Ingredients list for Gur Mawa Roti

  • 1/2 cup Jaggery (gur) grated
  • 1/2 cup Mawa (khoya)
  • 4 leftover rotis
  • 1/4 cup Cashewnuts chopped
  • 1/4 cup Pistachios chopped
  • 1/4 cup Almonds chopped
  • to sprinkle Nutmeg powder
  • to sprinkle Green cardamom powder
  • for basting Ghee


  1. Place 2 rotis on a worktop. Spread some grated jaggery and some mawa evenly over rotis. Top with some cashewnuts, some pistachios and some almonds. Sprinkle some nutmeg powder and cardamom powder on top and cover with the remaining rotis.
  2. Heat a non-stick pan. Place the prepared rotis and roast, basting with ghee, till evenly done from both the sides.
  3. Cut roasted rotis into 4 pieces and serve hot.
