Ingredients list for Grilled Chicken and Egg Sandwich

  • 2 Boneless chicken breasts
  • 4 Eggs , hard boiled and peeled
  • 8 Triangular white bread slices , toasted
  • to taste Salt
  • 2 teaspoons Garlic , chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Red chilli flakes
  • to taste Crushed black peppercorns
  • 1-2 sprigs Fresh thyme
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons Butter
  • 2 teaspoons Olive oil
  • as required Mayonnaise
  • a few Iceberg lettuce leaves
  • 2 medium Tomatoes , cut into roundels
  • 4 Cheese slices
  • to serve French fries
  • to serve Ketchup


  1. Place chicken breasts on a plate. Add salt, garlic, chilli flakes, crushed peppercorns, thyme leaves and Worcestershire sauce and rub in well on both sides. Set aside to marinate for 5-10 minutes.
  2. Heat butter and olive oil in a non-stick grill pan. Place the marinated chicken breasts in it and grill, turning sides, till evenly cooked and golden brown on both sides.
  3. Take the chicken breasts off the pan, place them on a chopping board and slice them. Slice the boiled eggs into roundels.
  4. To make each sandwich, apply some mayonnaise on one side of 2 bread slices.
  5. Place 1-2 torn iceberg lettuce leaves, few grilled chicken slices, few egg slices, 2-3 tomato roundels and one cheese slice on the mayonnaise side of 1 bread slice, cover with another bread slice, mayonnaise side facing downwards.
  6. Place the sandwiches on a serving platter and serve immediately with French fries and tomato ketchup.
