Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons sprouted green moong beans
- Fresh green moong greens as required
- 1 large beetroot, boiled and grated
- 1 medium potato, boiled and grated
- 2 tablespoons chopped onion
- Salt to taste
- ¼ teaspoon chaat masala
- A pinch of red chilli powder
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1½ tablespoons corn flour + for dusting
- Oil for shallow frying
Method
- In a large bowl, add beetroot, sprouted moong, potato, onion, salt, chaat masala, red chilli powder, lemon juice and corn flour. Mix till well combined.
- Divide the mixture into lemon sized potions and shape them into tikkis. Dust a little corn flour on top and set aside.
- Heat sufficient oil in a non-stick pan, and shallow fry the tikkis till lightly golden and crisp. Drain on an absorbent paper.
- Transfer the prepared tikkis on a serving plate, place a portion of the fresh green moong greens on the side and serve hot with sweet chilli sauce and green chutney.
