Ingredients for Grated Mango Garlic Pickle Recipe

  • raw Mango grated 4 cups

  • Red Chilli Powder 1 cup

  • Salt 3/4 cup

  • Oil 1 cup

  • Mustard seeds 1 teaspoon

  • Garlic 1 cup

  • Asafoetida 1/2 teaspoon

  • Cumin seeds roasted and powdered 1 1/2 teaspoons

  • Fenugreek seeds (methi dana) roasted and powdered 1 1/2 teaspoons

Method

Step 1

Place grated mangoes, red chilli powder and salt in a bowl and mix well. Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add mustard seeds and allow them to splutter.

Step 2

Add garlic and asafoetida and mix well. Add grated mango, roasted cumin powder and roasted fenugreek powder and mix well.

Step 3

Store it in a dry bottle and allow it to mature for a day or two before using.
