By Sanjeev Kapoor 16 Nov 2016 in Recipes Course New Update " frameborder="0" allowfullscreen> Main Ingredients Tomatoes, Oil Cuisine Indian Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 0-5 minutes Cook time 11-15 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Moderate Others Veg Ingredients list for Fried Tomatoes 3-4 Tomatoes cut into thick slices for deep-frying Oil 1 cup Rice flour 1/3 cup Cornstarch to taste Salt 1 1/2 teaspoons Onion powder 1 1/2 teaspoons Garlic Powder to taste Crushed black peppercorns 1 teaspoon Red chilli flakes 1/2 cup Skimmed milk yogurt 1 cup Bread crumbs Method Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Combine rice flour, cornstarch, salt, onion powder, garlic powder, crushed peppercorns, red chilli flakes in a bowl and mix well. Take yogurt in another bowl. Add rice flour mixture and whisk well into a smooth and lump-free batter. Add water if required. Spread breadcrumbs on a plate. Dip tomato slices one by one in the batter and coat evenly. Dust in the breadcrumbs and deep-fry in the hot oil till golden. Drain on absorbent paper. Serve hot.
