Ingredients list for Fried Peanuts
- 1 1/2 cups Raw Peanuts
- 2 tablespoons Gram flour
- 3/4 cup Gram flour (besan)
- to taste Salt
- 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- a pinch Baking powder
- 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon Garam masala powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Chaat masala
Method
- Heat sufficient oil in a kadai on medium heat. Mix gram flour, salt, turmeric powder, baking powder, red chilli powder, cumin powder, garam masala powder, chaat masala in a bowl and sprinkle a little water.
- Add peanuts and 2 tbsps oil and mix well. Sprinkle a little more water and mix well.Add the peanuts to the hot oil, ensuring that they do not stick together. Deep fry on medium heat till well browned and crisp.
- Drain on absorbent paper. Mix chaat masala and red chilli powder and sprinkle. Let them cool and then serve.
