Ingredients list for Fresh Turmeric Chutney - SK Khazana
- 1 1/2 inch Fresh turmeric peeled and roughly chopped
- 1/2 cup Scraped coconut fresh
- 3 Garlic cloves
- 2 Green chillies
- to taste Salt
- 1 1/2 tablespoons Oil
- 1/2 teaspoon Mustard seeds
- 1/4 teaspoon Asafoetida
- 12-15 Curry leaves
- 2 Dried red chillies broken
- to serve Hot Idlis
Method
- Put coconut in a blender jar, add garlic cloves, green chillies, fresh turmeric, salt and ¼ cup water and blend to fine paste. Transfer into a large bowl.
- For the tempering, heat oil in a tempering pan, add mustard seeds and let them splutter. Add asafoetida, curry leaves and dried red chillies and mix well.
- Take the pan off the heat and pour the tempering over the chutney and mix well.
- Transfer into a serving bowl and serve with hot idlis.
