By Sanjeev Kapoor 15 Nov 2014 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Eggs, Whole dry red chillies Cuisine Goan Course Main Course Egg Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 11-15 minutes Serve 4 Taste Tangy Level of Cooking Moderate Others Non Veg Ingredients list for Egg Vindaloo 5 Eggs 4 Whole dry red chillies 1 inch piece Ginger 5 cloves Garlic 1/2 teaspoon Cumin seeds 1/4 cup Vinegar to taste Salt 2 1/2 teaspoons Ghee 2 medium Onions chopped 1 inch stick Cinnamon 1 tablespoon Sugar 1 teaspoon Garam masala powder Method Place eggs in a pan with three cups of water. Boil for ten minutes. Cool, shell and halve lengthwise. Grind red chillies, ginger, garlic and cumin seeds with half the vinegar and salt to taste. Keep aside. Heat ghee in a pan, add onions and fry till brown. Add the ground paste and cinnamon. Add sugar, remaining vinegar and garam masala powder. Add the egg halves. Cook till the gravy thickens. Serve with rice or rotis.
