Ingredients list for Dahi Bhindi
- 1 1/2 cups Yogurt whisked
- 400 grams Ladyfingers
- 1 teaspoon Oil
- to taste Salt
- 5 tablespoons Gram flour (besan)
- 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- 3 Dried red chillies
- 2 teaspoons Coriander powder
Method
- Wipe ladyfingers dry with a clean kitchen towel. Cut into large pieces.
- Heat oil in a non stick pan, add ladyfingers and salt. Toss and cook on medium heat for 3-4 minutes.
- Roast besan in another non stick pan till fragrant.
- Place yogurt in a bowl. Add turmeric powder and salt and whisk till smooth.
- Cut red chillies into pieces and add to ladyfingers along with coriander powder. Toss again.
- Add roasted besan, mix well and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- Add yogurt mixture. Mix well, lower heat, cover and cook for 10-15 minutes, stirring once a while.
- Serve hot.
