Ingredients
- 1 boneless chicken breast
- ½ cup cola
- 1 baguette
- Crushed black peppercorns to taste
- Salt to taste
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon garlic Powder
- ¼ teaspoon honey
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 8 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 8 tablespoons tomato ketchup
- 6-8 Iceberg lettuce leaves
- 1 medium onion cut into juliennes
- 1 medium tomato cut into juliennes
Method
- Cut chicken into strips and place in a bowl. Add crushed peppercorns, salt, soy sauce, onion powder, garlic powder and honey and mix well. Set aside for 5-10 minutes.
- Slice Baguette horizontally into halves and toast in a non-stick grill pan till crisp. Remove from heat.
- Heat oil in anon-stick grill pan. Add chicken and grill for 2 minutes.
- Add cola and grill till chicken is fully cooked.
- Spread 1 tablespoon mayonnaise and 1 tablespoon tomato ketchup onto 4 slices. Place 1-2 torn lettuce leaves, onion and tomato on them. Top with cola chicken.
- Spread 1 tablespoon mayonnaise and 1 tablespoon tomato ketchup onto remaining 4 slices and cover the base with them.
- Serve immediately.
