Ingredients list for Chilli Oil Wontons
- 3-4 tablespoons Chilli oil
- 1½ cups Lamb mince
- 12-16 Wonton sheets
- 1-2 stalks Spring onion greens chopped,
- 2-3 tablespoons Fresh coriander leaves chopped,
- 3-4 Spring onion bulbs chopped,
- to taste Salt
- ½ teaspoon lemon flavoured pepper
- ¼ teaspoon Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Light soy sauce
- 2-3 tablespoons Refined flour (maida)
- 1 teaspoon Red chilli flakes
- for garnishing Sesame seeds (til)
Method
- Combine lamb mince, spring onion greens, chopped coriander, spring onion bulbs, salt, lemon flavoured pepper, sugar and soy sauce in a bowl and mix well.
- Mix flour in some water and mix well to make a thick slurry.
- Place the wonton sheets on a worktop. Put a portion of the mince mixture on one end, apply slurry on the edges and fold over to make a triangle. Twist the edges, apply slurry and stick together to form wontons.
- Heat sufficient water in a steamer. Place the wontons in it and steam for 10-12 minutes.
- Heat chilli oil in a non-stick pan. Add chilli flakes, mix well and heat well.
- Place the wontons on a serving platter, garnish with sesame seeds and coriander sprigs and serve hot with the chilli oil.
