When cooked, it can be presented in many guises. Sauté it, fry it, toss it, bake it, steam it – eat it the way you want to. Whatever its form may be upon being cooked, its flavour may change but its flesh remains high in protein, low in fat and can be digested easily.

Ingredients for Chicken Tikka Tawa Pulao Recipe

  • Chicken Tikka readymade 250 grams

  • Cooked rice 3 cups

  • Oil 2-3 tablespoons

  • Cumin seeds 1 teaspoon

  • Tomato puree ¼ cup

  • Ginger-garlic paste 1 tablespoon

  • Onion finely chopped 1 medium

  • Kashmiri red chilli paste 1 tablespoon

  • Pav bhaji masala 1 teaspoon

  • Green capsicum chopped ½ medium

  • Green peas 2-3 tablespoons

  • coriander leaves chopped 1 tablespoon

  • Salt to taste

Method

Step 1

Roughly chop chicken tikka and transfer into a bowl.

Step 2

Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add cumin seeds and onion and sauté till onion turns golden. Add ginger-garlic paste, mix well and sauté for 30 seconds.

Step 3

Add tomato puree and red chili paste, mix and cook for 1-2 minutes.

Step 4

Add pav bhaji masala, capsicum, green peas, coriander leaves and salt and mix well. Add 3-4 tablespoons water, mix and cook for 1 minute.

Step 5

Add rice and mix well. Add chicken tikka, mix and cook for 1 minute.

Step 6

Serve hot.
