Ingredients list for Chicken Chole
- 250 grams Chicken mince
- 1 cup Chickpeas (kabuli chane) soaked overnight and boiled
- 2 tablespoons Oil
- 2 Onions finely chopped
- 1/2 cup Fresh coriander leaves
- 1 tablespoon Ginger-garlic paste
- 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoons Roasted cumin powder
- 2 teaspoons Red chilli powder
- 3/4 cup Tomato puree
- 2 cups Chole stock
- to taste Rock salt
- to taste Salt
- 2 teaspoons Garam masala powder
Method
- Heat oil in a pressure cooker. Add onions and saute till they turn soft.
- Roughly chop coriander leaves.
- Add ginger-garlic paste to the cooker, mix and saute for a minute. Add chicken mince, mix well and saute for 2-3 minutes.
- Add turmeric powder, cumin powder and red chilli powder, mix well and saute well.
- Add tomato puree and mix well. Add chickpeas, 1½ cups chole stock and stir to mix.
- Add coriander leaves, rock salt, salt, remaining stock and garam masala powder and mix well. Cover and pressure cook till one whistle. Reduce heat and cook for 10-15 minutes.
- Serve hot.
