Ingredients list for Chicken Bao - SK Khazana

  • 150 grams Boneless chicken cut into 1 inch pieces
  • 8-12 Baos
  • 1 tablespoon Oil
  • 1 tablespoon Garlic finely chopped
  • 1/2 tablespoon Ginger finely chopped
  • `1-2 Fresh red chiullies finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Spring onion greens chopped
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Black peppercorns crushed
  • 1 tablespoon Dark soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Oyster sau ce
  • 1 tablespoon Honey
  • as required Cabbage shredded
  • as required Carrot strips

Method

  1. Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add garlic, ginger and red chillies, mix and sauté for a minute.
  2. Add spring onion greens and mix well. Add chicken pieces and mix.
  3. Add salt, crushed peppercorns, soy sauce and oyster sauce, mix well and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  4. Add some water and mix. Add honey, mix well and cook till the chicken is fully done.
  5. Stuff baos with some cabbage, some carrot strips, a cooked chicken piece and some cucumber slices.
  6. Garnish with coriander sprigs and serve immediately.
