Cheesy Paneer Papdi

Ingredients list for Cheesy Paneer Papdi

  • as required Mozzarella cheese
  • 70 grams Paneer (cottage cheese) small cubes
  • 16 Papdis
  • 1 tablespoon Oil
  • 1 tablespoon Garlic chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 1 small Onion finely chopped
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Green chutney
  • to taste Crushed black peppercorns
  • 16 Cherry tomatoes roundels
  • for garnish coriander sprig


  1. Preheat oven to 180° C.
  2. Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds. Add cumin seeds and sauté for 30 seconds.
  3. Add onion and sauté. Add salt and sauté till onion turns translucent. Add green chutney and sauté for 1 minute.
  4. Add cottage cheese, mix and cook for 1 minute. Add crushed peppercorns and mix.
  5. Put some cottage cheese mixture in the centre of each papdi and grate some mozzarella cheese on top. Place them on a baking tray.
  6. Place the baking tray in the preheated oven and bake till cheese melts.
  7. Place papdis in small individual serving plates and place one cherry tomato roundel on the side.
  8. Serve immediately garnished with fresh coriander sprigs.
