Ingredients list for Cheesy Corn Balls
- 3 tablespoons Processed Cheese grated
- 1 cup Corn Kernels tinned
- 2 tablespoons Butter
- 2 tablespoons Refined flour (maida)
- 1 cup Milk
- 1 tablespoon Green chillies finely chopped
- to taste Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper powder
- 1 cup Cooked rice
- a few sprigs Fresh coriander leaves
- 2 tablespo Fresh bread crumbs
- to deep fry Oil
- 1 Cheese slice
- as required Tomato ketchup
Method
- Heat butter in a non stick pan. Add refined flour and saute for 1 minute. Add milk and whisk well so that there are no lumps. Switch off the heat and add cheese and mix. Drain corn kernels and add and mix well.
- Add green chillies, little salt, black pepper powder and mix. Mash cooked rice and add. Chop a few sprigs fresh coriander leaves and add. Add 2 tbsps fresh bread crumbs and mix well and let it cool.
- Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Spread a little breadcrumbs in a plate Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape them into balls.
- Roll them in bread crumbs and deep-fry till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
- Arrange them on a serving plate. Cut a cheese slice into small triangles and place one on each cheese ball. Garnish with a little chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with tomato ketchup.
