Ingredients list for Cheesey Bread Pakora

  • 150 grams Processed Cheese grated
  • 8 White Bread Slices
  • 1 1/2 cups Gram flour (besan)
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 medium Onion chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh coriander leaves chopped
  • 2 Green chillies chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Chaat masala
  • to deep fry Oil
  • a pinch Soda bicarbonate

Method

  1. Put gram flour and salt in a bowl, add sufficient water and whisk to make a smooth and thick batter of coating consistency.
  2. Put cheese, onion, coriander leaves, green chillies and one teaspoon chaat masala in another bowl and mix well. Place a tablespoon of cheese mixture on four bread slices and spread evenly. Cover with remaining bread slices and cut into triangles.
  3. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Add soda bicarbonate to the batter and whisk well. Dip each bread triangle in it till they are well coated and deep-fry pakoras in hot oil till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
  4. Cut each triangle into smaller triangles, sprinkle chaat masala on them and serve hot.
