Ingredients list for Burnt Garlic And Mint Chutney

  • 8-10 cloves Garlic
  • 2 cups Mint leaves torn
  • 1 tablespoon Oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black salt (kala namak)
  • 1 inch piece Ginger roughly chopped
  • 2 Green chillies roughly chopped
  • 1 1/2 cups Yogurt whisked
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • to taste Salt

  1. Heat oil in a pan, add garlic and sauté. Sprinkle black salt and sauté till well browned.
  2. Put the mint leaves into a mixer. Add ginger and green chillies. Add sautéed garlic. Add two tablespoons of water with salt and grind to a fine paste.
  3. Add the paste to yogurt and mix well. Add lemon juice and salt and mix. Pass this mixture through a muslin cloth, squeezing well to get a smooth chutney.
  4. Serve chilled.
