Ingredients list for Besan Ka Dhokla
- 1 cup Gram Flour
- 1/2 teaspoon Yogurt
- 1/2 teaspoon Green chilli paste
- 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Sugar
- 2 tablespo Oil
- 1/2 cup Yogurt
- 1 teaspoon Fruit salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Mustard seeds
- 4-5 Curry leaves
- 2 Green chillies slit
- 2 tablespoons coriander leaves chopped
- 1 tablespoon Scraped coconut
Method
- Mix gram flour, ginger paste, green chilli paste, turmeric powder, salt, sugar, half of the oil in a bowl. Add yogurt and mix well.
- Add half cup water, fruit salt and mix well.Grease a thali and pour the prepared batter.
- Steam for twenty minutes.Remove and allow to cool.
- Heat remaining oil in a non stick pan.
- Add mustard seeds, once they splutter, add curry leaves.
- Add green chillies, one cup of water.
- Pour this tempering over the dhokla.
- Cut into desired shapes and serve garnished with coriander leaves and coconut.
