Ingredients list for Beer Rice

  • 1 cup Rice soaked for 20 minutes
  • 1 cup Beer
  • 3 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons Garlic crushed
  • 1 medium Onion finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika powder
  • 1 medium Tomato finely chopped
  • ½ medium Green capsicum cut into cubes
  • ½ cup Green peas boiled
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 cup Chicken stock
  • 6-8 Button mushrooms sliced
  • 8-10 Mussels (tisre)
  • 8-10 Prawns (medium) shelled and deveined
  • 1 Chicken sausages sliced
  • 6-8 Green olives pitted and sliced

Method

  1. Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add garlic and sauté till light brown.
  2. Add onion and sauté till onion is translucent.
  3. Add rice and mix well. Add paprika powder, tomato, capsicum, green peas and salt. Mix well.
  4. Add beer, chicken stock, mix and bring to a boil.
  5. Add mushrooms and mix well. Add mussels, prawns, sausage and olives, cover and cook on low heat for 5-10 minutes.
  6. Serve hot.
