Ingredients list for Banana Kheer
- 3 medium Banana chopped
- 750 millilitres Milk
- 3/4 cup Sugar
- 2 teaspoons Green cardamom powder
- 3 tablespoons Raisins soaked
- 10 Almonds chopped
- 10 Cashewnuts chopped
- 10 Pistachios chopped
- a pinch Saffron (kesar)
- 2 teaspoons Ghee
Method
- Heat milk in a non stick pan. Allow it to boil.
- Add sugar and cardamom powder, and allow the milk to simmer on low heat for 20 minutes.
- Add bananas and cook for further five minutes. Add saffron and stir well.
- In another non stick pan heat ghee. Saute almonds, cashewnuts, pistachios and raisins till golden.
- Remove from heat and add to the banana mixture. Cook for five minutes till the milk thickens.
- Remove from flame.
- Serve hot.
