Ingredients list for Apple Fritters
- 2 medium Green apples peeled, cored and cut into ¼ inch thick slices
- 1 1/2 cups Refined flour (maida)
- a pinch Salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoons Baking powder
- 200 millilitres Milk
- 1 Egg
- 3/4 cup Castor sugar (caster sugar)
- 1/2 cup Cinnamon powder
- for deep-frying Oil
- for dusting Powdered sugar
Method
- Sift together refined flour, salt and baking powder in a bowl. Add milk and egg and mix well.
- Mix castor sugar and cinnamon powder in another bowl and spread evenly on a plate.
- Heat sufficient oil in a pan. Dust the apple slices in sugar-cinnamon mixture and then dip in the batter and slide into hot oil. Deep-fry till golden and crisp.Drain on absorbent paper.
- Dust powdered sugar on top and serve immediately.
