Ingredients list for Andhra Chilli Chicken - SK Khazana
- 750 grams Whole chicken cut into 2 breasts and 2 leg pieces on the bone
- 10-12 Dried red chillies
- 1 tablespo teaspoons Lemon juice
- to taste Salt
- 2 inches Ginger
- 7-8 Garlic cloves
- 10-15 Curry leaves
- 1/2 cup Yogurt
- for dusting Refined flour (maida)
- 2 tablespoons Oil
- to serve Onion rings
- to serve Lemon slices
Method
- Make some slits on all the chicken pieces and put them in a large bowl. Add 1 tablespoon lemon juice and salt and mix well. Set aside for 10-15 minutes.
- Blend together ginger, garlic, curry leaves, dried red chillies, remaining lemon juice and sufficient water to a fine paste.
- Add this paste to the chicken along with yogurt and salt and mix well. Keep the bowl in the refrigerator to marinate for 2-3 hours.
- Dust the marinated chicken pieces with flour.
- Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Place the chicken pieces in it and cook on high heat for 4-5 minutes. Flip, cover and cook till fully done.
- Serve hot with onion rings and lemon slices.
