Yogurt and Camembert Dip

This wonderfully flavoured yogurt and camembert cheese dip can be enjoyed with any snack. The base is cream cheese, camembert and yogurt. This is a Sanjeev Kapoor exclusive recipe.

Ingredients 

  • 100 grams whisked yogurt 
  • ½ cup cream cheese
  • ½ teaspoon caraway seeds (shahi jeera)
  • 2 teaspoons oil
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • ¼ tbsp chopped chives
  • 50 grams Camembert cheese, peeled and cut in cubes
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • Salt to taste
  • Crushed black peppercorns to taste

Method

  1. Dry roast caraway seeds till fragrant. Remove from heat and crush.
  2. Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add onion and sauté till golden. Remove from heat and set aside.
  3. Whisk together cream cheese and Camembert cheese in a bowl till smooth.
  4. Add the sautéed onions, roasted caraway seeds, chives, paprika, salt and crushed peppercorns and mix well. Refrigerate overnight.
  5. Serve with crusty bread.
