You can’t eat breakfast at night or dinner in the afternoon – but snacks? that you can eat anytime of the day! Along with tea, after school or at a birthday party – snacks are every foodie’s ultimate favourite. Healthy snacking is the best way to satisfy your munchies without the worry of to many added calories.

Ingredients for Wheat Dosa Recipe

  • Whole wheat flour 1 cup

  • Rice flour 1 teaspoon

  • Asafoetida (hing) a pinch

  • Salt to taste

  • Grated ginger 1 teaspoon

  • Green chillies chopped 1 teaspoon

  • Curry leaves 5-6

  • Cilantro chopped 1 teaspoon

  • Roasted cumin seeds 1 teaspoon

  • Black pepper powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Onion finely chopped 1 small

  • Carrots grated 1/2 cup

  • Yogurt 3 teaspoons

  • Oil 3 tablespoons

Method

Step 1

In a bowl combine together whole wheat flour, rice flour, asafoetida, salt, ginger, green chillies, cilentro, roasted cumin seeds, onions, carrots, yogurt and sufficient water and make a thick consistancy batter.

Step 2

Heat oil in a non stick tawa and pour a laddleful of batter on it and spread it in a circular motion as thin as possible.

Step 3

Drizzle a little oil all around and let the dosa cook on medium heat. When ready the edges will begin to separate from the tawa.

Step 4

Remove and serve hot with chutney.
