Ingredients for Vegetable Lo Mein Recipe

  • Spaghetti boiled 250 grams

  • Carrot grated 1 cup

  • Bean sprouts 1/2 cup

  • Sesame oil 2 teaspoons

  • Spring onion bulbs 2-3

  • Onion 1/2 medium

  • Garlic crushed 1 tablespoon

  • Ginger grated 1 tablespoon

  • Hoisin sauce 1 teaspoon

  • Salt to taste

  • Crushed black peppercorns to taste

  • Spring onion greens roughly chopped for garnishing

Method

Step 1

Heat sesame oil in a non-stick pan.

Step 2

Slice spring onions and onion and add to the pan and sauté till lightly browned.

Step 3

Add garlic and ginger and mix well. Add carrot and mix well.

Step 4

Add spaghetti, hoisin sauce and salt and mix well. Add crushed peppercorns and mix well. Add bean sprouts and mix well. Add 2 tbsps water and toss well. Cook for few minutes.

Step 5

Transfer onto a serving plate, garnish with spring onion greens and serve hot.
