Ingredients list for Turai Ke Pakode
- 2 Ridge gourd (turai)
- for deep-frying Oil 2-3 tablespoons +
- 1 cup Gram flour (besan)
- 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli powder
- to taste Salt
- to sprinkle Chaat masala
Method
- Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.
- Cut ridge gourd into roundels.
- Combine gram flour, turmeric powder, chilli powder, salt and 3 tablespoons warm oil along with some water to make a smooth batter.
- Put ridge gourd roundels into the prepared batter and mix well.
- Deep-fry each roundel into hot oil till golden and crisp. Drain in absorbent paper.
- Sprinkle some chaat masala on the pakodas and serve hot.
