Ingredients list for Tuna Thoran

  • 500 grams Tuna Fish cut into 1/2 inch pieces
  • 3 teaspoons Coconut
  • 3 teaspoon Coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 cup Coconut grated
  • 3 tablespoons Oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon Mustard seeds
  • 2 Dry red chilies
  • 4-5 Curry leaves
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 2-3 Green chilli
  • to taste Salt

Method

  1. Heat one tablespoon oil in a non stick pan add red chilli powder, coriander powder and tumeric powder together.
  2. Add grated coconut and saute for two minutes. Remove and cool.
  3. Coarsely grind the above adding curry leaves. Keep aside.
  4. Heat two tablespoon oil in a non stick pan add mustard seeds, dry red chillies and curry leaves and saute for one minute.
  5. Add onions and saute till light brown.
  6. Add green chillies, coconut masala, tuna, salt and half cup water and let it simmer till fish is cooked.
