Ingredients for Tamarind Glazed Honey Shrimp Recipe

  • Sweet tamarind chutney 1 tablespoon

  • Prawns peeled and deveined 450 grams

  • Honey 1 tablespoon

  • Salt to taste

  • Lemon juice 1 tablespoon

  • Red chilli flakes optional 1/2 teaspoon

  • Coriander seeds crushed 1/2 teaspoon

  • Ginger grated 1/2 inch piece

  • Oil 2 tablespoons

  • Iceberg lettuce leaves a few

Method

Step 1

Place the prawns in a bowl.

Step 2

Add salt, lemon juice, crushed red chillies, crushed coriander seeds, ginger, sweet tamarind chutney and honey and mix well.

Step 3

Cover the bowl and keep it in the refrigerator till it is time to serve.

Step 4

Heat oil in a non stick pan. Shred lettuce and put them in stemmed glasses. Add the marinated prawns to the oil in the pan and cook, stirring, till the prawns are done.

Step 5

Drain and place the prawns over the lettuce and serve hot immediately.
