How to make Sev and Garlic Sandwich -

This unique sandwich consists of garlic and jalapeños mixed with yogurt and then topped with sev. Do try this sandwich which is slightly different than your usual veg sandwich but tastes amazing!

Foreign invasions, trade relations and colonialism had introduced certain foods to the country like potato, chillies and breadfruit.

Ingredients for Sev and Garlic Sandwich Recipe

  • Nylon sev as required

  • Garlic 20-25 cloves

  • Brown bread slices 8

  • Oil 2 tablespo for greasing

  • Pickled jalapenos 10 slices

  • Hung yogurt 3 tablespoons

  • Salt to taste


Step 1

Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add garlic cloves and saute them on medium heat till they are golden brown.

Step 2

Transfer them into a chopper jar and let them cool down. Add jalapenos, hung yogurt and salt and chop finely.

Step 3

For each sandwich take 2 bread slices and spread this mixture over them. Spread a generous layer of sev on one slice and cover with the second slice.

Step 4

Grease a sandwich toaster with a little oil, place a sandwich in it, close and grill over medium heat, turning sides, till both sides turn golden and crisp.

Step 5

Halve each sandwich diagonally, place them on a serving platter and serve hot.
