You should always stack your fridge with at least a dozen of them. Why? Handiest food to have around! Kids are hungry? Make some egg sandwiches. Guests come in, make an egg curry or egg biryani. You are hungry? Poach an egg and have it topped with stir fried veggies – perfect protein source for the body! Check the freshness – keep a raw egg in a bowl of water. Fresh eggs will stay at the bottom while stale eggs stand on end or float.

Ingredients for Scrambled Egg Burritos Recipe

  • Eggs 5

  • Tortilla

  • Salt to taste

  • Black pepper powder to taste

  • Milk 2 tablespoons

  • Butter 1 tablespoon

  • Olive oil 1 tablespoon

  • Tortillas 4

  • Cooked rice 8 tablespoons

  • Carrot boiled and sliced 1 medium

  • Red chilli sauce 4 teaspoons

  • Lettuce leaves torn a few


Step 1

Break the eggs into a bowl.

Step 2

Add salt and black pepper powder and whisk. Add milk and butter and whisk.

Step 3

Heat the oil in a non stick pan. Pour the egg mixture and cook, stirring continuously, to make scrambled eggs. Place a tortilla on the work top. Place two tablespoons of rice at one end of the tortilla.

Step 4

Top it with the scrambled eggs. Place the carrot strips over and drizzle some chilli sauce. Sprinkle some lettuce leaves and roll the tortilla tightly.

Step 5

Halve each roll diagonally and serve immediately.
