Italian cuisine has developed through centuries of social and political changes, with roots stretching to antiquity.  Italian cuisine is simple and a number of dishes having only four to eight ingredients.  They rely mostly on the quality of ingredients rather than elaborate preparation.
Noteworthy changes in Italian cuisine happened with the discovery of the New World and the introduction of potatoes, tomatoes, bell peppers and maize, which are now an integral part of this cuisine.  Italian cuisine is known for its regional diversity each with a distinct taste.  This cuisine today is probably one of the most popular in the world.

Ingredients for Pizza Indiana Recipe

  • Pizza base 2

  • Garlic

  • Garlic chopped 2 cloves

  • Onion chopped 1 small

  • Tomato concasse 2 cups

  • Tomato puree 1/2 cup

  • Tomato ketchup 2 tablespoons

  • Salt to taste

  • Sugar 1/2 teaspoon

  • Black peppercorns crushed 6-8

  • Topping

  • Chicken Tikka chopped 8

  • Onion cut into rings 1 large

  • Fresh coriander leaves chopped 2 tablespoons

  • Chaat masala 1 tablespoon

  • Mozzarella cheese grated 1/2 cup


Step 1

For the sauce, heat the oil in a pan; add garlic and sauté for half a minute. Add onion and sauté till translucent. Add tomato concasse and mix till all the moisture has evaporated.

Step 2

Add tomato purée and tomato ketchup and cook for another five to eight minutes. Add salt, sugar, half the crushed peppercorns and mix well. Set aside to cool. Preheat the oven to 220°C. Spread the sauce evenly over both pizza bases.

Step 3

Arrange the chicken tikka pieces and onion rings over the sauce. Sprinkle coriander leaves, chaat masala and mozzarella cheese on top. Place pizzas on a baking tray and bake till the cheese melts and the base is crisp. Cut into wedges and serve hot.
