Ingredients for Pineapple Fritters Recipe

  • Pineapple peeled, cored and sliced 1 medium

  • Refined flour (maida) ½ cup

  • Baking soda 1½ teaspoons

  • Granulated sugar 2 tablespoons

  • Salt ½ teaspoon

  • Milk ¼ cup

  • Egg yolk beaten 1

  • Vanilla essence ½ teaspoon

  • Butter to shallow fry

  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Method

Step 1

Put flour, baking soda, sugar and salt in a bowl and mix well.

Step 2

Put milk, egg yolk and vanilla essence in another bowl and mix well. Add this mixture to the flour mixture and whisk well to make a thick smooth batter.

Step 3

Heat butter in a non-stick pan.

Step 4

Dip pineapple slices in the batter and place them on the pan and shallow-fry, turning sides, till evenly golden on both sides. Drain on absorbent paper.

Step 5

Dust with powdered sugar and serve immediately.
