Ingredients for Peanut Sundal Recipe

  • Raw peanuts 2 cups

  • Oil 1 1/2

  • Mustard seeds 1/4 teaspoon

  • Curry leaves 5-6

  • Asafoetida a pinch

  • Onion chopped 1 large

  • Green chilli chopped 2-3

  • Coconut,grated 1/4 cup

  • Fresh coriander leaves chopped 2 tablespoons

  • Lemon juice 1 tablespoon

  • Salt to taste


Step 1

Boil or pressure cook peanuts in four cups of salted water till almost done. Drain, refresh and set aside. Heat the oil in a kadai; add the mustard seeds and curry leaves and fry for half a minute.

Step 2

Add the asafoetida, onion and green chillies and sauté for one minute. Add the peanuts, coconut, coriander leaves, lemon juice and salt and toss to mix well. Continue to sauté for half a minute. Serve hot.
