Ingredients for Oatmeal Bars Recipe

  • Oatmeal 2 cups

  • Milk 1/2 cup

  • Cashewnuts chopped 1/4 cup

  • Raisins 2 tablespoons

  • Butter 2 tablespoons

  • Cinnamon powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Powdered sugar 1 tablespoon

  • Milk 2 cups

  • Custard powder 1 tablespoon

  • Chocolate sauce to decorate

  • Strawberry crush to decorate

Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 180°C. Take oatmeal, honey, cashewnuts, raisins, butter, cinnamon powder and powdered sugar in a bowl and mix well. Put this mixture into a mould and press lightly.

Step 2

Place the mould in the preheated oven and bake for 10-15 minutes. Pour milk into a non-stick pan. Add custard powder and whisk well. Cook this on medium heat till the custard thickens.

Step 3

Take it off heat and set aside. When the oatmeal bars are baked remove from the oven. Pour a little custard in the centre of serving plates.

Step 4

Demould the bars and place one on each plate.

Step 5

Decorate with chocolate sauce and strawberry crush and serve immediately.
