Ingredients
- ½ cup black gram (urad dal) batter
- 3 tablespoons finger millet (nachni) flour
- Salt to taste
- ¼ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ tablespoon oil
- 1 small green capsicum, finely chopped
- 1 medium tomato, deseeded and finely chopped
- 1-2 green chillies, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh coriander leaves
- 1 tablespoon ghee
Method
- Mix together black gram batter, finger millet flour and sufficient water in a bowl to form a smooth batter. Add more water, if required, to adjust consistency. Add salt and baking soda and mix well.
- Heat oil in a non-stick tawa. Pour a ladleful of the prepared batter and spread evenly. Add green capsicum, tomatoes, green chillies, coriander leaves, ghee and cook till the underside turns golden brown. Flip and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Remove from heat, transfer to a serving platter and serve with green chutney.
