Ingredients list for Mozzarella Stuffed Croquettes

  • 200 grams Potatoes cut into 12 long sticks
  • 2-3 medium Mozzarella cheese boiled, peeled and mashed
  • 3 tablespoons Parmesan cheese powder
  • to taste Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black peppercorns crushed
  • 1/4 teaspoon Nutmeg powder
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs
  • for deep-frying Oil

Method

  1. Mix potatoes, Parmesan cheese, salt, crushed peppercorns and nutmeg powder in a bowl.
  2. Break the egg into a small bowl and whisk. Spread the breadcrumbs on a plate.
  3. Divide the potato mixture into twelve equal portions and stuff each portion with a mozzarella cheese stick and shape them into a croquette.
  4. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.
  5. Dip the croquettes in the egg, roll in the breadcrumbs and slide into hot oil. Deep-fry till golden. Drain on absorbent paper.
  6. Serve hot with tomato ketchup.
