Ingredients 

  • 1/4 cup spinach puree
  • 2 cups gram flour
  • 2 tablespoons Oil +for brushing 
  • 1 medium onion 
  • 3/4 cup whole wheat flour +for dusting 
  • 1 teaspoon green chillies, finely chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon chaat masala
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • Butter for basting

Method

  1. Heat a Gas Oven Tandoor (GOT) and brush with some oil.
  2. Finely chop onion and put in a bowl. Add gram flour, wheat flour, green chillies, salt, chaat masala and turmeric powder and mix well. Add spinach puree and 2 tablespoons oil and mix. Add sufficient water and knead into a soft dough.
  3. Divide the dough into equal portions and shape them into balls. Dust them with wheat flour.
  4. Grease one palm with oil and another with water and spread the balls into medium sized rotis.
  5. Place the rotis in the Gas Oven Tandoor (GOT), keeping the wet part facing down, cover and cook till the underside is done. Flip, and cook till the other side is similarly done.
  6. Uncover, baste with butter and serve hot.
