Ingredients list for Masoor Dal
- 2 cups Split Red Lentil soaked in water
- 1 tablespoon Curry Powder
- 1 medium Onion finely chopped
- 1 Green chilli finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon Ginger
- 2 cloves Garlic finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon Curry powder
- to taste Salt
- 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
- a few coriander sprig
Method
- Heat oil in a deep non-stick pan, add onion and green chilli and sauté for four to five minutes. Add ginger, garlic, curry powder and salt, mix well and cook for two to three minutes.
- Add three cups of water and lentils, mix and cook for twenty to twenty-five minutes. Add lemon juice, mix well and switch off heat. Garnish with a coriander sprig and serve piping hot.
