Ingredients for Masoor Dal Recipe

  • Split Red Lentil soaked in water 2 cups

  • Curry Powder 1 tablespoon

  • Onion finely chopped 1 medium

  • Green chilli finely chopped 1

  • Ginger 1 tablespoon

  • Garlic finely chopped 2 cloves

  • Curry powder 1 tablespoon

  • Salt to taste

  • Lemon juice 1 tablespoon

  • coriander sprig a few


Step 1

Heat oil in a deep non-stick pan, add onion and green chilli and sauté for four to five minutes. Add ginger, garlic, curry powder and salt, mix well and cook for two to three minutes.

Step 2

Add three cups of water and lentils, mix and cook for twenty to twenty-five minutes. Add lemon juice, mix well and switch off heat. Garnish with a coriander sprig and serve piping hot.
