Ingredients

  • 1½ cups brown chick peas (kala chana), boiled
  • 2 small potatoes, boiled and peeled
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 small tomato, chopped
  • 1-2 green chillies, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon roasted cumin powder
  • 1½ teaspoons chaat masala powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tablespoon freshly chopped coriander leaves + for garnish
  • 2 teaspoons chopped raw mango
  • 1½ tablespoons green chutney
  • 1½ tablespoons date and tamarind chutney
  • 1 tablespoon red chilli-garlic chutney
  • Masala boondi for garnish
  • Masala chana dal for garnish
  • Sev for garnish
  • Pomegranate pearls for garnish   

Method

  1. In a bowl, add chana, mash the potatoes and add into the bowl. Add onion, tomato, green chillies, roasted cumin powder, chaat masala powder, salt, chopped coriander and chopped raw mango.
  2. Add green chutney, date and tamarind chutney, red chilli-garlic chutney and mix well.
  3. Transfer into individual serving bowls, garnish with masala boondi, masala chana dal, sev, chopped coriander, and pomegranate pearls.
  4. Serve immediately.
