Ingredients for Mango Pachidi Recipe

  • Raw mango cut into cubes 1

  • Jaggery (gur) grated 1/2 cup

  • Green chillies slit 2

  • Turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Salt to taste

  • Rice flour 1 tablespoon

  • Oil 1 tablespoon

  • Mustard seeds 1 teaspoon

Method

Step 1

Cut mango, without peeling, into small pieces.

Step 2

Heat 2 cups water in a non stick pan and add mango pieces, turmeric powder, green chillies and mix well. Cover and cook for 2-3 minutes.

Step 3

Add jaggery and mix well. Cover again and cook for 2-3 minutes.

Step 4

Add salt.Mix rice flour with ¼ cup water and add to the pan.

Step 5

Heat oil in a small non stick pan and add mustard seeds.

Step 6

When the seeds splutter add the tempering to the mango pachidi.

Step 7

Cover and cook for 1-2 minutes. Cool and serve at room temperature.
