Ingredients list for Long Beans With Honey Sesame

  • 250 grams String beans (chavli) long beans
  • 4 tablespoons Honey
  • 2 tablespoons Sesame seeds (black) toasted
  • 3 tablespoons Oil
  • 2 inch pie Ginger chopped
  • 7-8 cloves Garlic chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Dark soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Red chilli paste
  • to taste Salt
  • 2 tablespoons Peanuts crushed toasted

Method

  1. Trim the beans and blanch them in boiling water for 2 minutes. Drain.
  2. Heat oil in a non stick wok pan. Add garlic and ginger and sauté. Add dark soy sauce, red chilli paste, ¼ cup water and salt and mix well.
  3. Add beans and mix. Add honey and mix. Add peanuts and mix.
  4. Transfer the beans into a serving plate, drizzle the sauce remaining in the wok over them, garnish with sesame seeds and serve hot.
