Ingredients list for Lemon Chilli Chicken Lollypop
- 8 Chicken lollypops
- 3 tablespoons Lemon juice
- 2 1/2 teaspoons Green chilli paste
- 2 tablespoons Ginger-garlic paste
- 2 tablespoons Refined flour (maida)
- 2 tablespoons Cornstarch
- to taste Salt
- 1 Egg
- 5-6 Spring onion with greens
- 2 tablespoons Oil
- 2 teaspoons Ginger chopped
- 2 teaspoons Garlic chopped
- 4 tablespoons Sugar
Method
- Mix together ginger-garlic paste, refined flour, cornstarch, 1 tsp green chilli paste, salt, egg in a bowl.
- Apply 1 tbsp lemon juice and salt to the chicken lollypops. Add them to the masala mixture in the bowl and mix well.
- Thinly slice spring onion bulbs. Heat sufficient oil in a deep pan and deep fry the chicken lollypops.
- Heat 2 tbsps oil in a non-stick pan. Add spring onion bulbs and saute. Chop the spring onion greens and set aside.
- Add ginger and garlic to the pan and saute. Add sugar and salt and saute till sugar caramelizes.
- Drain the lollypops and put into the pan with the caramelized onions.
- Add spring onion greens, remaining green chilli paste, remaining lemon juice and mix well. Saute for 2-3 minutes.
- Transfer into a serving plate and serve hot.
