Foreign invasions, trade relations and colonialism had introduced certain foods to the country like potato, chillies and breadfruit.

Ingredients for Khatta Meetha Raita Recipe

  • Mint Leaves 1 bunch

  • Yogurt 1 teaspoon

  • Yogurt 200 grams

  • Sugar 4 tablespoons

  • Papdi 8-10

  • Potato boiled 1 small

  • Green chilli finely chopped 1

  • Boondi 2 teaspoons

  • Salt to taste

  • Chaat masala 1 teaspoon

  • Cumin seeds roasted 1 teaspoon

Method

Step 1

Grind mint leaves with sufficient water to a fine paste .Dilute the tamrind paste with three tablespoons water.

Step 2

In a bowl add yogurt and sugar and mix till sugar dissolves. Add mint paste, tamarind water, papdi, potato, green chilli, boondi, salt and chaat masala.

Step 3

Garnish with roasted cumin powder and finely chopped few mint leaves.
