By Sanjeev Kapoor 31 Jul 2015 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Idlis , Refined flour (maida) Cuisine Indo-Chinese Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 11-15 minutes Serve 4 Taste Spicy Level of Cooking Moderate Others Veg Ingredients list for Idli Chilly Fry 4 Idlis cut 1/4 cup Refined flour (maida) 3 teaspoons Cornflour/ corn starch 1 tablespo Oil 1 teaspoon Ginger-garlic paste 1 teaspoon Garlic chopped 1 a pinch MSG 1 medium Green capsicum thinly shredded and toasted 1 teaspoon White pepper powder Soy sauce 1 teaspoon Red chilli sauce to taste Salt for garnish Spring onion Method In a bowl mix together refined flour and corn flour. Add a little water and make a smooth thick batter. Heat oil in a kadai. Dip the idlis into the above mixture and fry till golden and crisp. Heat oil in a non stick pan; add ginger garlic paste and chopped garlic and sauté till brown. Add MSG and capsicum and sauté for a minute. Add white pepper powder, soya sauce, chilli sauce and salt. Mix well. Add two tablespoons water and sauté for a minute. Add the fried idlis and toss well.
