Ingredients list for Herb Garlic Bread - SK Khazana
- 2 cups Refined flour (maida)
- 2 teaspoons Fresh yeast
- 2 teaspoons Castor sugar
- 1 1/2 tablespoons Garlic finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon Fresh mixed herbs chopped
- 2 tablespo Butter
- 1 tablespoon Oil
- for brushi Milk
- to sprinkle Garlic powder
- to sprinkle Dried mixed herbs
Method
- Put yeast in a bowl, add castor sugar and 2 tablespoons warm water, mix well and set aside to activate.
- Sift flour in another bowl. Add garlic, fresh herbs and activated yeast and mix well.
- Add some water and knead well. Transfer the dough onto the worktop, add butter and knead to a soft dough. Transfer the dough into the same bowl, cover with a damp muslin cloth and set aside to prove for 20 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 180°C.
- Transfer the dough back onto the worktop, add oil and knead lightly. Shape into a loaf and keep it on a baking tray. Cover with a damp muslin cloth and set aside to prove for 20 minutes.
- Brush the dough with some milk and sprinkle garlic powder and dried herbs on top. Put the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes.
- Brush some butter on top and serve.
