Ingredients list for Herb Crackers
- 2 teaspoons Dried mixed herbs
- 1 1/4 cup Refined flour (maida)
- 1/2 teaspoon Sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 1 tablespoon Butter
- Oil ½ teaspoon + for greasing
- as required Milk wash
- for sprink White sesame seeds
- for sprink Dried mixed herbs
Method
- Preheat oven to 180º C.
- Mix refined flour, herbs, sugar, salt and butter in a bowl. Add sufficient water to knead into soft dough. Add oil and half the herbs to the dough and knead again. Cover with muslin cloth and set aside for 10-15 minutes.
- Divide the dough into equal portions, shape them into balls. Roll out the balls into thin discs.
- Grease baking tray with oil, place the thin discs on it, cut into triangles, prick with a fork, brush the discs with milk wash and sprinkle the remaining dried mixed herbs and white sesame seeds on top.
- Put the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes.
- Serve hot.
