Ingredients list for Ginger Chicken
- 500 grams Cooked Chicken cooked and shredded
- 1 tablespoon Ginger chopped
- 4 Dried mushrooms
- 2 tablespoons Soy sauce
- 1 Onion finely chopped
- 1 Garlic clove crushed
- 2 tablespoons Vinegar
- 1 teaspoon Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Tomato puree
- to taste Salt
- to taste Black pepper powder
- 1 1/2 cups Chicken stock
- 1 tablespoon Oil
- 1 tablespoon Corn flour
- 1 tablespoon Sherry
Method
- Soak dried mushrooms in warm water for thirty minutes. Drain and slice.
- Add soy sauce, onion, ginger, garlic, vinegar, sugar, tomato puree, salt and pepper and chicken stock to a non stick pan.
- Bring to a boil and simmer for two minutes.
- Heat oil in another non stick pan.. Add chicken and sauté for three to four minutes.
- Add the soy sauce mixture and mix well.
- Dilute corn flour in sherry and add to the chicken.
- Cook till sauce thickens.
- Add mushrooms and mix well.
- Serve hot.
