Ingredients list for Egg and Cheese Poppers - SK Khazana

  • 3 Eggs boiled, peeled and chopped
  • 1/2 cup Mozzarella cheese grated
  • 1/2 cup Cheddar cheese grared
  • 3 tablespoons Spring onion greens chopped
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Black peppercorns crushed
  • 1 tablespoon Mayonnaise
  • to deep fry Oil
  • 1 cup Cheese balls
  • as required Refined flour slurry
  • to serve Tomato ketchup

Method

  1. Take eggs in a bowl, add mozzarella cheese, cheddar cheese, spring onion greens, salt, crushed black pepper and mayonnaise and mix well.
  2. Divide the egg and cheese mixture into equal portions and shape them into balls.
  3. Heat sufficient oil in a deep pan.
  4. Put cheese balls in a plastic bag and crush with a rolling pin. Transfer into a plate.
  5. Take refined flour slurry in a bowl. Dip each egg ball in the flour slurry and coat with crushed cheese balls. Once again dip the balls in slurry and coat with crushed cheese balls.
  6. Gently slide the egg balls into hot oil and deep-fry till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
  7. Arrange them in a serving bowl and serve hot with ketchup.
