Ingredients
- 4-5 medium potatoes, peeled
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon chopped garlic
- 2 tablespoons oil
- Salt to taste
- 4 spring onion bulbs with stems
- 1 teaspoon crushed black peppercorns + for garnishing
- 3 garlic cloves
- 1 tablespoon butter
Method
- Cut potatoes into small cubes.
- Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add chopped garlic and potatoes and mix well. Add salt and mix well.
- Add 1 cup milk, mix well, cover and cook.
- Cut spring onion bulbs into small cubes. Add them to the pan, mix well, cover and cook, stirring often so that the milk does not burn.
- Chop the spring onion stems into thin roundels.
- Add half the chopped spring onion stems and 1 teaspoon crushed peppercorns. Mix well, cover and cook on low heat till the potatoes are completely done.
- Crush the garlic cloves and add to the pan along with butter, mix well and cook for a minute.
- Serve hot garnished with crushed peppercorns and remaining spring onion stems.
